Description
6A320-58830 Fuel Filter for Kubota Compact Tractors & RTV Vehicles
The 6A320-58830 fuel filter is a precision-engineered replacement for Kubota B, L, LX, and M Series compact tractors, plus RTV utility vehicles. It delivers OEM-spec protection against water, sediment, and contaminants that damage diesel injection systems in agricultural and construction equipment operating in harsh conditions.

Key Features
-
OEM-Spec Filtration: Meets or exceeds Kubota factory specifications for filtration efficiency, flow rate, and dirt-holding capacity. Proprietary cellulose media captures particulate down to 10 microns.
-
Complete Installation Kit: Includes fresh O-ring seals (6A320-59950, 6A320-59940) for leak-free installation. Always replace O-rings when changing the filter.
-
Water-Separating Design: Dual-function media removes both solid contaminants and water droplets — critical for diesel engines that sit for extended periods between uses, where condensation accumulates in fuel tanks.
-
Wide Kubota Coverage: One filter fits dozens of models across four tractor series plus RTVs. No need to hunt for specific model numbers.
-
Dust-Tolerant Construction: Reinforced media handles the higher particulate loads common in agricultural, landscaping, and construction environments.

Installation Guide
-
Locate Filter Housing: Typically mounted on the engine near the injection pump. Consult your Kubota operator's manual for the exact location on your specific model.
-
Close Fuel Valve: Shut off the fuel supply valve to prevent diesel spillage during filter replacement.
-
Remove Old Filter: Unscrew the housing cap, remove the old filter element and O-rings. Note the orientation of each O-ring before removal.
-
Clean Housing: Wipe the interior of the filter housing clean. Inspect for sediment, rust, or water residue.
-
Install New O-Rings: Apply a light coating of clean diesel fuel to the new O-rings and seat them in their grooves. Never install O-rings dry.
-
Insert New Filter: Place the 6A320-58830 cartridge into the housing, replace the cap, and tighten to specification.
-
Bleed the System: Open the fuel valve. Use the manual priming pump (if equipped) or bleed screw to purge air from the system. Do not crank the engine until the fuel system is fully bled.
FAQ
Q: Will this fit my Kubota L3800?
A: Yes. The 6A320-58830 fits virtually all L Series tractors (L2501, L3200, L3400, L3800, L3901, L4701, etc.), plus B, LX, M Series, and RTV utility vehicles.
Q: Are the O-rings included?
A: Yes. Both 6A320-59950 and 6A320-59940 O-rings are included in the kit. Always use new O-rings — reusing old ones is the #1 cause of fuel leaks after filter changes.
Q: How often should I change the fuel filter?
A: Every 200 operating hours or annually, whichever comes first. Reduce to 100 hours if operating in dusty conditions, using biodiesel blends above B5, or if the tractor sits unused for months at a time.
Q: Will this fit my Kubota RTV?
A: Yes. Fits RTV-X1100CR, RTV-X900G, RTV-X1140, RTV-X1120D, and many other RTV models. The same filter is used across Kubota's tractor and RTV diesel platforms.
Q: What happens if water gets past the filter?
A: Water in diesel fuel causes injector tip erosion (leading to poor spray pattern and power loss), microbial growth in the fuel tank (clogging filters), and internal corrosion of the injection pump. Regular filter changes prevent all of these.
