Symptoms of a Failed WIF Sensor
- "Water in Fuel" warning light stays on after draining the HFCM separator

Installation Instructions
- Locate the HFCM on the driver-side frame rail under the cab.
- Unplug the electrical connector from the WIF sensor (the sensor on the bottom/side of the HFCM).
- Using an appropriate wrench, unscrew the old sensor counterclockwise. Have a small container ready — a small amount of diesel will drip out.
- Clean the sensor port threads on the HFCM housing.
- Thread the new sensor in by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten snugly with a wrench. Do NOT overtighten.
- Reconnect the electrical harness.
- Cycle the key ON (not start) — the WIF light should go out. If it doesn't, drain the HFCM to ensure there's no actual water present.
