Description
Product Overview
The iFJF 6.0L Powerstroke EGR Eliminator Spool is a direct replacement for the factory EGR valve on 2003-2010 Ford F250, F350, F450, and F550 Super Duty trucks with the 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engine. The OEM EGR valve is notorious for accumulating carbon deposits that cause it to stick open or closed — resulting in rough idle, poor throttle response, black smoke, and check engine lights. This CNC-machined aluminum spool permanently replaces the valve, providing unrestricted intake airflow with no moving parts to fail. Includes high-temperature Viton O-rings and mounting bolts for a complete installation.
Key Features
-
CNC-Machined Aluminum Alloy — Precision-manufactured for an exact fit in the intake manifold EGR valve port. No moving parts means nothing to break, stick, or wear out.
-
Eliminates Carbon Buildup Issues — The factory EGR valve accumulates exhaust soot, eventually sticking and causing driveability problems. This spool removes the valve entirely.
-
Viton O-Rings Included — Premium fluoroelastomer O-rings rated for continuous exposure to diesel engine bay temperatures (up to 400°F). Won't harden, crack, or leak like standard rubber.
-
Complete Hardware Kit — Includes all bolts needed for installation. No searching for fasteners at the hardware store.
-
No Moving Parts — Unlike the complex OEM EGR valve with its electric motor, position sensor, and moving pintle, this spool is a solid piece of aluminum that will never fail.
-
Smoother Idle & Better Response — Without a sticky EGR valve disrupting airflow, idle quality improves and throttle response becomes more immediate and predictable.

Installation Quick Guide
- Disconnect both battery negative terminals
- Remove the engine cover and locate the EGR valve on top of the intake manifold (passenger side)
- Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector and vacuum lines
- Remove the two mounting bolts securing the EGR valve
- Carefully pull the EGR valve straight up — it may require gentle prying if carbon-seized
- Clean the EGR port and mounting surface thoroughly
- Install the new Viton O-rings on the eliminator spool
- Insert spool into the intake manifold EGR port
- Torque mounting bolts to OEM specification
- Reconnect vacuum lines, install block-off plugs as needed
- Flash custom ECU tune to disable EGR DTCs
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this fit my 2008 F-350 6.0L?
A: Ford stopped putting the 6.0L in F-Series pickups after 2007. However, the 6.0L continued in E-Series vans and some chassis cabs through 2010. If your 2008+ vehicle has the 6.0L (verify by VIN — 8th digit "P"), this spool will fit.
Q: What is the difference between this and the EGR valve delete kit ER-0195?
A: This is the same type of product — an EGR valve eliminator spool. Different SKUs exist due to separate product listings. Both are CNC-machined aluminum spools that replace the factory EGR valve.
Q: Will I get a check engine light?
A: Yes. Removing or bypassing the EGR valve will trigger EGR-related DTCs (typically P0401-P0408). Custom ECU tuning is required to disable these codes and prevent the CEL. This is hardware only — tuning is sold separately.
Q: Is this legal for on-road use in California?
A: No. This product is intended for OFF-ROAD / COMPETITION USE ONLY. EGR system modifications are prohibited on emission-controlled vehicles under both EPA federal regulations and CARB (California Air Resources Board) rules. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
