Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why would I want to move my Tour Pak backward?
A: The stock Tour Pak position often crowds the passenger, especially with aftermarket seats. Moving it back 1-3 inches gives your passenger significantly more room while maintaining full luggage functionality.
Q: Will this affect the handling of my bike?
A: Minimal impact. Moving 20-30 lbs rearward by 1-3 inches has a negligible effect on handling for most riders. If you ride two-up aggressively, start with the 1" position and adjust from there.
Q: Is this truly bolt-on — no modifications needed?
A: Yes. The plate uses all factory mounting holes. Remove your Tour Pak, bolt this plate to the rack, then re-mount the Tour Pak to the plate in your chosen position. Tools needed: Torx set and socket wrench.
Q: Will my stock wiring harness reach after relocation?
A: At 1-2 inches, yes. At 3 inches, we recommend checking your Tour Pak wiring (speakers, lights, antenna). Most stock harnesses have enough slack for the full 3-inch adjustment.
