Setup Instructions
- Extend your RV awning to its full position
- Locate the valance groove track on the awning roller tube
- Feed the sewn-in rope edge into the groove track from one end
- Pull the shade through the entire length of the track
- Roll out the awning further if needed to tension the shade
- Stake the bottom corners using the included stakes and bungee cords
- Adjust tension for a taught, wind-resistant setup

Q: Will this fit my Dometic 9100 power awning?
A: Yes. This shade fits all Dometic manual and electric awnings — 8500, 8600, 8700, 9100, and 9200 series. It slides into the standard valance groove found on all these models.
Q: Can I leave it on while driving?
A: No. Always remove the shade and fully retract your awning before driving. The shade is designed for stationary campsite use only.
Q: How dark is the black mesh?
A: The black mesh provides approximately 85-90% shade factor. You can see out clearly, but people outside cannot easily see in — and it significantly reduces heat from direct sunlight.
Q: Does this work as a windshield too?
A: It provides some wind reduction but is primarily a sun/privacy shade. In strong winds (15+ mph), we recommend removing or lowering the shade to reduce stress on your awning assembly.
Q: Will this fit a camper with a Carefree awning?
