Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will this fit my 2005 LLY Duramax?
A: Yes. Designed for 2004.5-2005 Silverado HD and Sierra HD with 6.6L LLY. Does NOT fit LB7, LBZ, or LMM engines.
Q: Do I need a tune?
A: Not required for the elbow alone. For maximum benefit with other mods (exhaust, EGR delete, turbo), custom tune is recommended.
Q: How much HP gain?
A: Modest 5-10 HP on stock tune. Primary benefits: lower EGTs (50-100°F reduction), faster turbo spool, improved throttle response. Supports much higher HP when tuned.
Q: Will this trigger a CEL?
A: Intake elbow alone should not trigger CEL. If CCV port is plugged and factory CCV detects pressure change, a soft code may be logged.
Q: Installation difficulty?
A: Straightforward. 1-2 hours, basic hand tools. Direct bolt-on replacement using factory mounting points.
