Description
Product Overview
Lifting your Jeep XJ, YJ, or TJ 4-6 inches without upgrading brake lines is dangerous. Stock rubber lines become too short for lifted suspensions — they stretch, bind, and can snap under full articulation. The iFJF Extended Stainless Steel Brake Line Kit replaces factory lines with DOT-approved, 21.5-inch front lines engineered for 4-6 inch lifts. Braided stainless exterior shrugs off trail hazards while the PTFE inner core delivers a firmer, more responsive brake pedal.
Key Features
-
DOT Approved & 4,000 PSI Tested — Meets FMVSS-106 standards. Every line individually pressure-tested before shipping.
-
Extended 21.5" Front Length — Part #RS6249 spec provides ample length for 4-6 inch lifts without tension or binding at full droop.
-
Braided Stainless Exterior — Tough stainless jacket prevents rock strikes, mud abrasion, and UV deterioration that destroys rubber lines.
-
PTFE Inner Core — Non-reactive Teflon liner won't swell from brake fluid absorption. Consistent pedal response in all temperatures.
-
Direct Bolt-On Fit — Pre-formed end fittings match factory hardline connections. Remove old, install new, bleed, done.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Complete set or just front lines?
A: This kit includes the front brake line pair. The rear line on these platforms typically has adequate length up to 6" of lift.
Q: Will these work on an XJ with ABS?
A: Yes — compatible with both ABS and non-ABS brake systems. Fittings match factory connections.
Q: Special tools needed?
A: A flare nut wrench (line wrench) is strongly recommended to avoid rounding the hardline nuts. You'll also need brake bleeding equipment.
Q: How do these compare to Crown/Omix extended lines?
A: Crown/Omix lines are rubber — same as factory, just longer. Our stainless lines add braided armor + PTFE core for better pedal feel, longer life, and real off-road protection.
Q: What brake fluid?
A: DOT 3 or DOT 4. Do NOT use DOT 5 (silicone) — incompatible with ABS and can cause seal swelling.
