Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does this compare to the delete kit with EGR (ER-0199)?
A: This kit (DP-0259) is the exhaust delete pipe ONLY — no EGR components. The ER-0199 kit includes both the 4" exhaust pipe AND the EGR block-off plate kit for a complete emissions system delete.
Q: How much louder is it?
A: Noticeably louder than stock, with a deep diesel tone. It's aggressive but not obnoxious — comparable to a straight-piped Duramax or Cummins.
Q: Will this affect my towing capability?
A: With a proper tune, towing performance is actually improved due to lower EGTs and reduced exhaust restriction. Monitor EGTs with a gauge when towing heavy.
