For Transmission: Locate the transmission cooler return line — this is the line returning fluid FROM the cooler back TO the transmission (cooler fluid, not the hot line going TO the cooler). Cut the rubber hose section, install the filter with the flow arrow pointing toward the transmission, and secure with two hose clamps (not included — use quality stainless steel worm-gear clamps). For Power Steering: Install on the low-pressure return line from the steering rack/gearbox back to the reservoir. Do NOT install on the high-pressure supply line.
